NABET (National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians) is the broadcast sector of the Communication Workers of America (CWA). NABET-CWA Local 43 [CWA Local 54043] is based in Detroit, Michigan, and represents technical workers at WDIV-Channel 4, WJBK-Fox 2, and Freelance employees in the area. [We are NOT accepting any new applications for free-lance memberships. We are only accepting new membership applications from those that work at WJBK-TV or WDIV-TV. If you wish to organize a union at a work place, we would be glad to help you and then would accept new membership applications.] The Local will pay the tuition for any member wanting to take labor study classes. Wayne State University offers courses that most members can fit into their schedule.
