| BYLAWS LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD 4.1 (a) The LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD shall be established in accordance with Article 8.13 of the NABET-CWA By-Laws and shall consist of the LOCAL PRESIDENT, LOCAL VICE PRESIDENT, LOCAL SECRETARY, LOCAL TREASURER or LOCAL SECRETARY-TREASURER and elected members from each Unit in the Local. (b) A candidate for the LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD of NABET-CWA Local 43 must be a member of the Unit he is to represent and shall elected by members of that Unit. A candidate must be and have been in continuous good standing for ONE (1) year immediately prior to the date of nomination, with the exception of new Units. (c) Each Unit on the date of nominations for election to the LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD, shall be allowed ONE (1) representative on the Board for each THIRTY (30) members, or fraction thereof in the Unit. Each Unit's representation will remain at this level until the date of the next nominations. 4.2 Duties of the LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD will be as specified in Article 8.14 of the NABET-CWA By-Laws and these By-Laws. 4.3 REGULAR meetings shall be held each month. SPECIAL meetings may be called at the discretion of the LOCAL PRESIDENT or a majority of the LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD. 4.4 Minutes shall be taken of all LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD meetings and a copy given or mailed to the NABET-CWA Office, Sector Vice-PRESIDENT and LOCAL PRESIDENT and shall be available for inspection by any member in good standing who so requests. 4.5 QUORUM: A simple majority of the LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD shall constitute a QUORUM. 4.6 (a) The LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD, by majority vote, may request attendance of non-voting guests to their meeting(s). All members of the Local in good standing are encouraged to attend LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD meeting as non-voting guests. (b) The LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD, by majority vote, may require attendance of a local member to their meeting(s). 4.7 Upon written request received by the LOCAL PRESIDENT, any member of the Local shall be given the right to make a presentation before the LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD. 4.8 Unit LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD Members are elected officers of the Local and may be removed from office under the provisions of Article 8.16 of the NABET-CWA By-Laws. 4.9 (a) The NABET-CWA Dues and Local dues of all LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD Members shall be borne by the Local except as provided in Section 4.9(c) herein. (b) Each LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD Member shall be authorized reimbursement of FIFTEEN DOLLARS ($15.00) for each LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD meeting they attend. (c) If a majority of the LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD determines that a Board member or CHIEF STEWARD is neglecting his/her duties, the Local Executive Board shall determine whether or not this member's dues shall continue to be paid by the Local Union.
