| BYLAWS MISCELLANEOUS 9.1 The authority for conducting the business of the Local shall be Robert's Rules of Order, Revised, unless Article 1.8 of the NABET-CWA By-Laws shall be invoked. 9.2 REMEMBRANCES: The LOCAL TREASURER or LOCAL SECRETARY-TREASURER and the STEWARD of the member involved shall be a Committee of two to arrange suitable gifts or remembrances as follows: (a) A suitable remembrance shall be given in the event of the death of a member; his/her spouse/significant other, child or parent. (b) A suitable gift shall be given to any member who shall be confined to a hospital for more than THREE (3) days. (c) Suitable gifts and/or remembrances may be given in other cases by the LOCAL PRESIDENT or the majority consent of the LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARD. 9.3 No member of the Local shall perform services for any Employer under contract to NABET-CWA for wages, terms or conditions less desirable than those contained in the applicable labor agreement. 9.4 The Local Executive Board shall have the authority to determine the distribution of contract signing bonuses based on member participation in contract campaign activities. This provision will be exercised when not in conflict with the affected collective bargaining agreement. Back to Menu |
